Amateur carving turns out to resemble local folklore creature

Engineer Les Gray […] undertook a large wood carving project using some old oak timbers, that turned into a horned man standing nearly 8ft tall. [Les later realised that] his creation bore a striking likeness to a [folkloric] creature known locally as “Hob Hurst” or “Wetton Man” [which was said to inhabit Thor’s Cave in the Manifold Valley].
